BRAND CHALLENGE

Getaround is an app that takes ride-sharing to the next level. With the ride-sharing business at an all time high, Getaround wants to stand out from the crowd.  As of now, Getaround lacks personality and the overall messaging it needs to make the company unique, friendly, and genuine. This lack of personal voice, coupled with the scarce interaction between drivers, car owners, and the company itself leads to a break in trust that may turn away future customers.

 

CREATIVE OBJECTIVES

Our main objectives when taking on this rebranding project, was to create a simple and warm user experience that had been previously lacking in the app and brand. In order to do this, it was decided to chose friendly brand language, strengthen communication functionalities between owners, drivers, and the company itself. e also had to focus in on what Getaround's unique selling point was in comparison to the many other ride sharing apps out in the market. 
 

BRAND STATEMENT

Getaround is multifaceted and dynamic just like you. No one car can meet all your needs for every occasion. A day could involve hauling some boxes, exploring a new city, picking up your kid’s soccer team, and going on a hot date. Getaround helps expand people’s garages by having a convenient and effortless renting experience. Getaround allows you to find your drive for every moment of your dynamic lifestyle. Getaround is multifaceted and dynamic just like you. Our goal is to reflect that in our branding language, look, and also to create an ad campaign that will showcase the new brand and app.

The redesign of the already existing app was crucial in terms of rebranding. Not only does the new app appear sleeker visually, but the user flow is simplistic and intuitive. The app also includes functionalities that pair with rentable vehicles such as unlocking, gauging mileage, gas, and time spent.
